The Traffic Intelligent Construction Branch is the 16th branch established by the China Highway & Transportation Society and the first to focus on intelligent construction. It strives to become "a leader in technological innovation in intelligent construction within the transportation field, a converger of innovative elements, and a promoter of industrial development." By gathering domestic and international strengths in the transportation construction sector, it aims to advance the construction of transportation infrastructure towards industrialization, digitization, intelligence, and greening. Following its establishment, the branch will deeply grasp the policy direction in the field of intelligent transportation construction, further strengthen industry exchanges and collaborative innovation, focus on promoting research and the application of key theories, core technologies, intelligent equipment, and control, and actively contribute to the construction of a strong transportation nation.

It has been reported that CCCC Second Harbor Engineering Company Ltd, has made significant strides in bridge intelligent construction, serving as a breakthrough point. Integrating the concept of the industrial internet, the company has built an industrialized intelligent construction technology system. This system features a developmental approach based on industrialization, digitization, networking, and intelligence, as well as a threefold integration of the industry chain, innovation chain, and value chain. The company has transformed and upgraded its operations in various areas, including the construction of super-large open caisson foundations and super-high concrete bridge towers, as well as in prefabricated and digital construction. It has pioneered internationally leading technologies for constructing kilometer-scale cable-stayed bridges, massive sea-spanning suspension bridges, and super-large span steel truss arch bridges. Additionally, the company has developed significant equipment such as an integrated intelligent tower machine, an R20000-720 type tower crane, and a TD5000-30 flexible production line for reinforcing mesh.

These technological advancements have contributed to enhancing the quality and efficiency of significant infrastructure projects, including the Sutong Yangtze River Bridge, Changtai Yangtze River Bridge, ShenZhong Channel Lingdingyang Bridge, and the Chaoma Railway Ma'anshan Yangtze River Public Rail Bridge. The company has thus made substantial progress in establishing a modern industry system for bridge industrialization and intelligent construction that is autonomous and controllable.

The convening of this conference has established a high-end platform for exchange and cooperation in the field of intelligent transportation construction between industry, academia, and research, which is of great significance for promoting the transportation construction industry to lead industrial innovation with scientific and technological innovation and to accelerate the cultivation and development of "new quality productivity". During the conference, academicians and experts visited the Wuhan Shuangliu Yangtze River Bridge project of the CCCC Second Harbor Engineering Company Ltd for on-site guidance and experienced the application of the company's intelligent construction technology and equipment in the project.
